Maxalto - Caratos leather chair
Caratos is a family of upholstered seats united by the recognizable structure in die-cast aluminum. A version characterized by the enveloping padded back that also forms the armrest, the Caratos chair offers a seat free from any postural constriction, favoring conversations and relationships with neighbors. A further version, available only in leather, stands out for its basic and geometric structure, extremely calibrated in thickness and details.
This is a decidedly lightweight proposal, not only for its simple and linear design, but also for its low weight that ensures easy handling. The seat and back use structural panels in plastic on which rests a layer of polyurethane, then covered with fine leather. The collection also includes stools with swivel seat, able to fit into heterogeneous furnishing contexts thanks to the contemporary lines that nevertheless recall the memory of some furnishings of the twentieth century.
