Magis - Pila chair covered seat

Minimalism and essence are the keywords that Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec were inspired by for Pila’s design.
In the chair Pila seat and back are in ash plywood, natural or painted. The legs are in solid ash, natural or painted. The joining element is in sandblasted or painted die-cast aluminum. Finally, upholstered seat covered in fabric.

Formal perfection, clear lines and creative freedom. These are the watchwords in the designs of the French brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. Ronan Bouroullec (born 1971) and Erwan Bouroullec (born 1976), they both graduated in art and founded their own studio in the late 1990s.They have been working together for nearly a decade. After being noticed by Giulio Cappellini and receiving their first industrial design commissions, the brothers established themselves on the international scene thanks to a collaboration with Vitra. Bouroullec brothers work for some of the most important international design brands such as Ligne Roset, Flos, Magis, and are able to join essential shapes with innovative materials and environmentally friendly manufacturing. This allowed them to win, among other awards, the prestigious Wallpaper* Design Award 2016 in the category "Best Designers of the Year".
