Mdf Italia - Universal Chair with wooden back and 4 oak legs base

Mdf Italia – Sedia Universal Chair schiena legno e base 4 gambe Longho Design Palermo

The chair or armchair version, with wooden or fully upholstered backrest, offers a three-dimensional backrest out of the ordinary. The backrest is in fact obtained from two curved elements produced by a mechanical mould, subsequently coupled and assembled with a procedure that recalls the refined know-how of the luthier.
The name of the project, however, is given by the seat plate, the beating heart of the structure, which has been designed to accommodate different types of bases and backrests, allowing the development over time of infinite possibilities of configurations.
There are three values on which the project is based:
Sustainability, the concept focuses on respect for the environment: every component of the seat can be disassembled to facilitate the correct disposal of components.
Comfort, the ergonomic research on the project has led to the development of a three-dimensional backrest obtained from two curved elements coupled, which guarantee a unique comfort. Elegance, an elegant and timeless design that enhances every type of context in which the seat is inserted, domestic or contract.

The concept was developed from a research on the curvature of wood that led to the development of an innovative production system, now patented.
The three-dimensional effect is obtained by two curved elements coupled and assembled, available in brown oak or bleached oak finishes.
The backrest in bleached oak and brown oak is available with or without matching bumper. The back in brown oak is always recommended to use the bumper.
The cover is not removable and completely covers the seat.

4 wooden legs with structure in solid natural oak transparent lacquered, available in brown oak or bleached oak finishes. Fixed version.
