Hannes Wettstein

Hannes Wettstein (1958-2008) was one of the most interesting designers of his generation, creating projects ranging from products to communication and industrial design to architecture. He was known as one of the most innovative and influential designers from the Swiss school.

This was demonstrated by the many awards and competitions he won, such as the selection for the Compasso d'Oro in 2004 for his Dada Nomis kitchen. In addition, Hannes Wettstein worked for the Grand Hyatt hotel chain in Berlin, designed the Swiss Embassy in Tehran and in Washington DC. He worked with the great names of international design – Cassina, UMS Pastoe, Shimano, Baleri Italia, Artemide and the Molteni Group. In 1993 he became the 9D Design co-founder. Today his artistic and design heritage is collected by "the Hannes Wettstein Studio ", where his team works.

Angelo Molteni, born in 1912, began his entrepreneurial activity in Giussano, now the province of Monza and Brianza, the furniture district. As of April 2016, Belgian architect and designer Vincent Van Duysen has been appointed creative director of molteni&c and Dada. After the success of the Gliss Master wardrobe collection, the new collaboration focuses on image coordination and the retail concept.
