Kristalia - Mem chair in polypropylene

Made of injection-moulded polypropylene reinforced with glass, the Mem chair by Christophe Pillet, with its barely highlighted angles and curves, combines strength with elegance. The two holes in the seat are aesthetic yet also functional details, since they make the chair stackable despite its embracing shape. Mem is also available with a removable soft polyurethane cushion that matches or contrasts with the seat, or with a lumbar cushion upholstered in a choice of fabrics, making the seat even more comfortable.

Christophe Pillet

Christophe Pillet was born in 1959, is a French designer who have gained global recognition designing hotels, boutiques and directing artistic projects in the USA, Great-Britain and Japan. He has won international acclaim for the spectrum and quality of his creations. Architecture, objects, furniture, artistic direction, his signature is invariably associated with the finest brands: Lacoste, Jean-Claude Jitrois, Catherine Malandrino, Lancel, Le Tannneur International. After graduating from the Decorative Arts School in Nice and obtaining a Master's Degree from the Domus Academy in Milan, between 1986 and 1988 he worked with Martine Bedin. He collaborated with Philippe Stark from 1988 to 1993, when he opened his own studio. He operates in a several sectors including furniture design, product design, interior design and stage design. A number of projects curated in the residential and hospitality fields. His creations have been exhibited in numerous exhibitions around the world. He has signed numerous products for Lema since 2013.

Kristalia

Kristalia was founded in 1994 by the ingenuity of two Friulian entrepreneurs, united by their passion for design and jazz, they discovered completely new areas for design, in which they expressed local excellence. A few years later, Kristalia was already a landmark in Italy and beyond. At the outset of the 21st century the company made the history of extending tables. In the second decade of the century it became one of the design firms that particularly attracted designers. A few years ago it also opened up to the world of hospitality contract supplies. Nowadays, once sceptical contractors are the first to contact Kristalia to develop new ideas. Their goal is to be an example of high industrial craftsmanship, to show how technology and creativity could accompany made in Italy into the new millennium.
