The Series 7 chair is an icon in the history of modern furniture. Designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955. Its unique shape is timeless and incredibly versatile, showing character without overwhelming the eye. The chair is composed of 9 layers of pressed veneer for strength, flexibility and durability despite its slender shape. This is the most popular design within the collection of chairs by Fritz Hansen. The 3107 has thin but resistant steel tube legs that complete the curved profile of the body.

Arne Jacobsen

It is said that as a child, growing up in Copenhagen, Arne Jacobsen painted on Victorian wallpaper in his bedroom. But young Arne did not cover his walls with typical childish drawings nor did he paint the wallpaper decorated with a boyish blue. Instead, he decided to paint his room entirely of white. His decision may seem trivial today, but at the beginning of the twentieth century the white walls were not yet fashionable. From the beginning, Arne Jacobsen was ahead of his time.

Fritz Hansen

Founded in Denmark in 1872, the company has a long history of collaboration with leading international designers. This, to give life to their visionary concepts and spaces that help transform. The refined Classic collection by Fritz Hansen includes a series of iconic furniture by renowned Danish architects and designers. Including Arne Jacobsen’s Egg, Swan, and Series 7. chairs, and PK22 chair, and Poul Kjærholm’s PK80 daybed, Poul Kjærholm. "The Contemporary Collection" features new furniture and accessory designs from some of the most inspiring and internationally recognized modern designers, including Jaime Hayon, Piero Lissoni, Kasper Salto and Cecilie Manz. Common to the two collections is a sculptural artistic expression. This blurs the boundaries between design and art and combines function and form in unprecedented ways, giving each work a significant presence and purpose.

The Danish lighting company Lightyears has been part of Fritz Hansen since 2015. Working closely with internationally recognized designers and architects, Fritz Hansen Lighting develops and produces high quality modern lighting that combines tradition and innovation, We also continue Fritz Hansen’s proud tradition of exquisite craftsmanship, quality and timeless design. Today, as in 1872, the work is guided by the philosophy that a single piece of furniture can beautify an entire room or even a building. It can also increase the well-being of the people who live in these spaces. With an international presence and an ever-expanding collection of iconic designs. He continues his journey towards the creation of essential elements of elegant and human interior design. These never compromise comfort and to strengthen its place in the global elite of design, luxury and lifestyle.
