Arper - Aston 5 ways high backrestArper-Poltroncina-alta-Aston-5-razze-Longho-Design-Palermo

Armchair on a five-spoke aluminium frame mounted on self-braking wheels, equipped with a gas mechanism for height adjustment. The support element of the body and the spring that gives more comfort to the seat, are available in the same finish of the frame. The polyurethane shell is covered in fabric, leather, coated fabric, fabric or customer leather.

Strong and strong-willed, Aston sits at the head of the table. Opposing conventions that want it exclusively in operating or directional spaces, Aston has a linear profile and an aerodynamic silhouette designed for comfort and performance. With its harmonized mechanisms, elegant lines, Aston is ergonomic yet lightweight, and is perfect for both the home and workplace.

Designed especially for contract environments and uses, Aston is available in Office and Lounge versions. Entirely upholstered in fabric, coated fabric or leather, the Aston chair is available in three different backrest heights: low, medium, high. All models have a four-spoke base (swivel or with return mechanism) and a five-spoke base on wheels (with height adjustment mechanism or with syncro mechanism). The Aston Lounge version features a four-spoke base, which can be combined with a padded footrest.

Jean–Marie Massaud

Since the beginning of his career, Jean-Marie Massaud has worked on a wide range of works, ranging from architecture to objects, from unique design to serial ones, from the macro environment to micro contexts. Major brands such as Air France, Axor, Mdf Italia, Poltrona Frau or Toyota have stressed its ability to mix comfort and elegance, spirit and tradition, generosity and distinction. Beyond these elegant designs, his search for lightness - in essence - synthesizes three broader interests: individual and collective achievement, economic and industrial efficiency and environmental concerns. "I’m trying to find an honest and generous path with the idea that, somewhere among the difficult economic data, there are users. People." His creations, both speculative and pragmatic, explore this imperative paradigm: reconciling pleasure and responsibility, the individual with the collective.

When asked to imagine a new stadium for the city of Guadalajara, Mexico, he returns with a building in the shape of a cloud and volcano never seen before. Integrated into a vast urban development program that brings together leisure and culture, nature and urbanization, sports enthusiasts and local citizens. Instead of planting a stadium, he proposed an environment. And the initial vision showed a realistic approach: the project came to life in July 2011. More recently, his concept car developed in collaboration with Toyota, has the same goal.

MEWE is a synthesis of economic and ecological concepts, which integrates specific issues for each stakeholder: the user, the industry and the environment. A pioneering multipurpose platform that is a car for people, with a body of expanded polypropylene foam: a great innovation. "When I work on a project, there is always an attempt to renew the topic I am involved in". Another distinctive aspect of its approach.

Arper

Arper creates chairs, tables and furnishing accessories for the community, work and home.
Our approach is relationship-oriented, and translates into a design focused on aesthetics and usability; in a global, innovative and personalized service; in the enhancement of local contexts within internationalization strategies; in organizational policies always marked by transparency and the maintenance of a solid and coherent brand identity.

A FAMILY STORY - We were born in 1989, as a family business. We have grown rapidly: from simple furniture manufacturers, to international design brands. Our inclusive approach, focused on people, has accompanied the growth of turnover and employees: passed, the latter, from a few tens to several hundred within a few years.

OUR APPROACH TO DESIGN - Giving birth to a new product means taking care: of every phase of its development-from design, to production, to its environmental impact. We do this by combining form and function, always with great attention to detail: the final synthesis is perfect, in its elegance.

A UNIQUE SENSITIVITY - Our design idea follows the versatility of essential shapes. Over time, our approach has developed from six core concepts.
Balance, Family, Intuition, Lightness, Colour, Play.

"Fifteen years ago, we created the Arper Environmental Department, our first tentative step in a world where sustainability was increasingly becoming a crucial issue for our generation. The first thing to do is to accept our responsibilities: we are part of the problem, and we are all part of it. Such a revelation requires a reaction: we are designers, problems are our daily bread, so why not start designing a responsible environmental path."
