De Castelli - Pensando ad Acapulco polished copper armchair
Pensando ad Acapulco (Thinking of Acapulco) is a tribute to the iconic Acapulco Chair of the Fifties. It gives shape to a new understanding of what a chair is, starting from sheet metal shaped entirely by hand, fold after fold. Three iron legs support the seat, formed by three sections in shiny copper, steel or brass, enlivened by the refraction of light on each facet sculpted on its surface. The product of De Castelli craftsmanship, expertise and virtuosity, this chair challenges durable metal to become welcoming, even transforming iron into the most flexible of materials.
IvDesign
Francesca Braga Rosa (Arzignano-Vicenza, 1978) and Ivano Vianello (Padua, 1974) have been working as associates since 2005, in Vicenza, under the brand ivdesign.it. Graduated in architecture from IUAV in Venice, they worked in interior architecture, landscape and design, in historical and contemporary contexts. In 2008 they started the "About Design Vicenza" project and, in 2009, the "Vicenza Design Week." Ivdesign.it designs furniture in such a way that their simplicity reflects the indiscreet appeal, both of the materials with which they are produced and of the design work. In an increasingly complex world, it becomes essential to have simple products for everyday use. Ivano Vianello has been teaching design at ISAI in Vicenza since 2009, and in 2013 he published the book "Atlante Italiano di Autoproduzione" and in 2014 the mini catalog "Pioneers in bathroom design."
De Castelli
For De Castelli, metal plays a dual role. Furnishing, first of all, but at the same time interprets the architecture, the styles, the new trends.
De Castelli has made metal its language and has managed over time to build a wide range of furnishing accessories, lighting points but above all metal upholstery. Creations that at first glance could be unrelated to each other, and that instead are brought together by the presence of metal, a noble and elegant material taking on the most varied forms. De Castelli was founded in 2003, but its foundation is based on the experience of four generations of ironworking masters. It overcomes the classical conception of metal, understood as a "cold" material and relegated to the margins of design, and begins to produce objects in series, but at the same time unique, as the result of a cultural path that is renewed each time in an unrepeatable way. The continuous rise of De Castelli is witnessed by the many partnerships that the Italian company has established with the most renowned brands on the international scene. This was the collaboration with Maserati at the 89th Geneva Motor show, for which De Castelli lined the interior panels of the Quattroporte SQ4 Granlusso. For De Castelli, metal plays a dual role. Furnishing, first of all, but at the same time interprets the architecture, the styles, the new trends.
