Cappellini - Basket 011 armchair 
A casual, relaxed appeal characterizes the Basket sofa, created for Cappellini by the French designer-duo, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. The collection, composed of a two and three-seater sofa and a wide armchair, provides the opportunity to play with chromatic pairings, both pop and classic.
The Basket sofa is supported by a matte varnished metal structure in white, red, mud or black. The removable covering is available in the fabrics and leathers from the collection; the cushion covers can also be made to blend different fabrics and leathers.
The top cushions are stitched to the large cushion below, and fastened to the structure with velcro. The backrests are interconnected by zipper, and the armrests sewn to the backrest. The loose back and arm cushions are the same size and density. With Basket sofas, designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, optimal comfort and maximum colour customization are guaranteed.
Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec
Formal perfection, clear lines and creative freedom, these are Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec's magic formula. Born respectively in 1971 and 1976, they both graduated in Art and in the late 1990s founded their own studio. After being noticed by Giulio Cappellini and receiving their first industrial design commissions, the brothers established themselves on the international scene thanks to a collaboration with Vitra. Bouroullec brothers work for some of the most important international design brands such as Ligne Roset , Flos, Magis, and are able to join essential shapes with innovative materials and environmentally friendly manufacturing. This allowed them to win, among other prizes, the prestigious Wallpaper* Design Award 2016 in the category "Best Designers of the Year".
Cappellini is an Italian design company, founded in Carugo in 1946 by Enrico Cappellini. Synonymous with originality, contemporaneity and experimentation, the brand produces quality furnishing elements for every type of space, residential and working. Designed by the great names of international design, often discovered by the talent scout and corporate designer Giulio Cappellini.
