Magis - Spun swivel armchair bicolor

A functional armchair formed by a single profile rotated 360 degrees. Spun shows Heatherwick’s talent for challenging rules and playfully plays with the notion of a static piece of sculpture becoming a design game. When erected Spun is a sculptural vase and it is only when it is lent on its side that the playful possibilities of its shape come to light. Spun allows the sitter to rotate in a circular rocking motion, including being able to rotate in a full circle.

Thomas Heatherwick

Founded by Thomas Heatherwick in 1994, Heatherwick Studio is known for its work in architecture, urban infrastructure, sculpture, design and strategic thinking.
