Cappellini - Poltrona Lud’o Lounge conical base

With innovative lines and an ingenious construction, the cozy Lud’o Lounge chair by Patricia Urquiola is an object of design that can be dressed and re-adorned to make room, in our lives, for the playful side of our nature. A change of clothes, in this armchair, becomes a fundamental concept: with a simple gesture – and a pinch of light-heartedness – one can remove the entire padded upholstery that covers the shell and substitute it with a completely new one.
Different chromatic impacts, diverse personalities: the Lud’o Lounge is a whimsical and relaxing armchair. The look can change according to the season or the setting. Lud’o Lounge chairs invite you to slide in and relax with the same ease as when slipping on your favorite coat – whether it’s a street culture inspired feather-padded jacket or a tailored overcoat.
The extreme comfort, perfect for domestic settings, and the scenographic impact it provides Contract settings, make the Lud’o Lounge chair a worthy tribute to Vico Magistretti, the celebrated designer’s mentor. Equipped with a recyclable plastic shell, made with a rotational mold, Lud’o Lounge sits atop a base that is available in two versions: a conical metal swivel base matte varnished in black; with four ash wood spokes (oak stained, wengé stained, or black stained). The quilted upholstery is available in a selection of the fabric and leathers in the collection.
Super soft, eloquent and polyhedral, the Lud’o Lounge is completely recyclable: in this armchair each element, from the base to the padding, expresses a new way to give materials added value.
