The design studio ROMANI SACCANI ARCHITETTI ASSOCIATI was founded in 1999 by the professional collaboration between the architects Michele Romani and Mauro Saccani, born some years before from the sharing of the entire training course, first as students of the Design Institute of the State Institute of Art of Monza, and subsequently as companions in the degree course in Architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan (1998) in the same thesis for the redevelopment and landscape enhancement of the historical settlement of “The Five Courts of Bernate” in the Municipality of Arcore which is was indicated and awarded as a positive experience by the Lombardy Region, certificate 2009.
After having worked as freelancers with some Milanese hinterland architecture studios and having participated in various design and architecture competitions (in 1999 they won the 3rd prize in the competition for the renovation and expansion of the Municipality of Ornago with the project “The cube and the square”) are today increasingly aimed at the product design sector and count among their clients numerous collaborations with design companies both in the lighting sector and in the mobile or interior complements sector.
