Matti Klenell

Matti Klenell, born in 1972, lives and works in Stockholm. In 1999, fresh out of Konstfack, Stockholm's distinguished academy of art, craft and design, he started working as a designer for various European and Asian companies. His clients include Iittala, NakNak, Källemo, Moooi, Bals Tokyo, Muuto and Örsjö, to name but a few. At the same time, he established himself as a glass artist, developing a highly personal and unmistakable style, which earned him numerous solo exhibitions and commissions for public artworks. His work is characterised by an incredible variety of projects that combine art, craftsmanship and design and that have resulted in a new and original approach to traditional Scandinavian design.
