Max Lamb

Max Lamb (born 1980) is a British designer who loves to combine traditional, if not ancestral, design methods with contemporary design. It’s known for using a singular approach in the use of natural materials, such as the casting of pewter into the sand or the use of volcanic rock.
With the Wiggle project he designed for Bitossi Ceramiche he developed a new production technique using an old tool, cutting clay slabs with iron wire and building box-shaped containers using cut slabs. The spiral wire creates a wavy surface that is then enriched and underlined by the enamels.
