Umberto Riva


Born in Milan in 1928, he graduated in 1959 and began his profession in 1960. He deals with projects at various scales, from urban spaces to buildings, from the landscape to the interior, from the setting up to the design of lamps and furniture. Since 1998 he has been Academician of San Luca, in 2003 he won the gold medal for architecture, award of the Triennale of Milan.
