Studio Toer

Studio Toer is a multidisciplinary Dutch design collective with a strong exploratory and experimental approach. Founded in 2011 by Castor Bours (1984) and Wouter Widdershoven (1986), their work pushes the technical and aesthetic limits of design within the world of applied arts. They create innovative objects and light installations and interactive experiences. Evolutionary elements and a suggestion of movement are always present in all their projects. Studio Toer has received worldwide attention for its interactive installations: Cumulus, an autonomous parasol that inflates in a cloud-like form with solar energy. Fiet, a sculpture of kinetic light that reacts to changes in its environment. E Shaped By Time, a clock that forms over time. Studio Toer projects have been presented at countless international festivals and are visible all over the world.
