Frank Ligthart

A Dutch designer, he studied design and product development at the Henry Van de Velde Institute of the Academy of Antwerp and at the Technical University of Delft, where he graduated. He came to prominence redesigning the new Mosi carriages for the Dutch railways, then freelanced in object and furniture design. Since 2001 he has been working with Dedon, creating highly poetic collections such as Lounge, the celebrated Soho series, the Obelisk table and seat, and the Leaf chaise longue, for which he received the Red Dot Design Award in 2006.
