Poul Henningsen

Poul Henningsen was born in Copenhagen and is the son of the famous Danish author Agnes Henningsen. Educated at the Technical School in Frederiksberg, Denmark from 1911 to 1914, and later at the Technical College in Copenhagen from 1914 to 1917, he began the practice of traditional functional architecture, but over the years his professional interests were mainly directed toward lighting, the field that brought him most notoriety.
