Jean Nouvel designs a virtuosic suspended bookcase, resolved by a single shelf anchored to the wall or ceiling. From there, steel rods hold wooden and aluminum shelves that seem to float lightly, in a volume of air. The metal uprights have graduated notches for free positioning of the shelves, "magically" supported by invisible attachments.
The shelf, the basic element, is the result of a complex design of materials and technologies. His design was born from a very simple idea: a sheet folded in half and held by light tie rods. The price refers to the version with shelf/ desk in oak finish and top shelves with satin lacquered plum finish 3751E.
