Founded in 1984, Adolini Studio develops projects in the fields of architecture, product, interior and graphic design.
It worked in several fields with several achievements to its credit consisting of single-family houses, commercial and industrial residential complexes, buildings for sports and worship.The Studio boasted numerous architectural works, besides monument’s restorations and renovations of industrial facilities and private houses.
It was responsible for exhibition standsand museum installations, interior design projects for houses and show-rooms.Regarding Industrial Design field, since the year 2000, he has been collaborated with several manufacturing companies including, BOFFI GALASSIA, GAL, FLAMINIA, NIC DESIGN, OLI INTERNATIONAL, AXA,WHITE STONE, KERASAN, CEA,QUADRO,AISI,TECLA, KALON ,ITALGARDEN,UNOPIU'for which he designed some of the best known collections.
He has been the art direction of the GALASSIA company (2000/2005) of the AXA, COLACRIL, WHITE STONE, KERASAN companies (2008/2010) of the OLI (2007/2011), dealing with graphics and communication, exhibition design , advertising and packaging.
He has won several awards and recognitions.
Romano Adolini and Niccolò Adolini are the studio Partners.
Romano Adolini -
Born in Nepi (VT) in 1956 he graduated in 1982 in architecture at the University "La Sapienza" of Rome, where, after a period of apprenticeship in 1984 he opened his own professional studio.
In the 90’s he started successful cooperations in industrial design field with some of the main players in sanitary wares industry, while continuing to operate in architecture.
Through a reworking of local constructive memory, his works, are characterized by the use of modern figurative solutions alongside traditional materials and a careful relationship with the surroundings.
The same attention paid to his own territory and matter, soon led him to explore the universe of ceramics, here historically present and today represented by the sanitary ceramic production of the industrial district of Civita Castellana world pole of the sector.
After a long cognitive acquaintance with production processes and market issues, at the end of the nineties, with the opening of the sector to design, he worked on some projects for the bathroom environment.
Thus began an activity of industrial design as well as the architect one and led him to collaborate with leading companies in the sector. From 2011 to 2016 Romano has been industrial design professor in the Architecture University of Ferrara.
Niccolò Adolini
Born in Rome in 1987, he trained at the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio (CH) and graduated in 2011 from the IED in Rome. In the same year he served an apprenticeship at the Dordoni studio in Milan.
In 2012 he founded the studio ADOLINI+SIMONINI operating until 2019 between Milan and São Paulo, with several collaborations with Italian and Brazilian companies. Since 2016 he has been teaching product design at the IED in Rome. Since 2017 he has been a professor at Sichuan Normal University in Chengdu (China). Since 2018 he has been advisor of the ADI Lazio delegation.
He is currently in charge of the Product Design department in Studio Adolini.
