Nicole Äbischer

Born in 1980 in Fribourg, Nicole Äbischer got her diploma in Industrial Design at the Ecole Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne (Ecal) in 2004. During her studies at Ecal, working with Atelier Oï, she created the “Pyllon” stool which was shown at the Designer’s Saturday in Langenthal, at the Salone Internazionale di Mobile in Milano and at the Musée de Design et d’Arts Appliqués Contemporains in Lausanne.

In 2002 she won the first price from the D&AD Student Award for creating a packaging for Body Shop. This occasion allowed her to do an internship in London at Jones Knowles Richie’s studio. After the diploma she did several work practices including Bread & Butter in Lausanne and Norway Says in Oslo. Besides she works also as graphic designer.
